  • Who is Dine Aware?

Dine Aware’s commitment is to foster open, positive communication about food allergies and intolerances, working to break down negative stigmas and stereotypes in interactions with the food and beverage industry and staff.

Our training and resources empower companies to support informed choices, helping you make safe and confident ordering decisions.

  • What You Should Expect

Employees who have completed one of our six Dine Aware courses and received a completion certificate gain a foundational understanding of common food allergies and best practices for communication and cross-contact prevention.

Our goal is to support an informed, positive dining experience for you.

  • What You Should Not Expect

Dine Aware does not guarantee that an establishment can accommodate a dietary restriction or cross-contact prevention method in any way.

Dine Aware does not take responsibility or make any guarantees about how food and beverages are prepared or served in any establishment.

Our courses serve as reference tools only and are not substitutes for expert guidance; we do not guarantee employee knowledge or the application of best practices.

  • What Dine Aware Is Not.

Dine Aware is not a guarantee of accommodation and does not ensure that any establishment can fully meet the needs of guests with dietary restrictions or prevent cross-contact. We provide guidance and resources, but Dine Aware assumes no responsibility or liability for any aspect of food preparation, handling, or service in any establishment, nor do we make any assurances regarding the accuracy, completeness, or implementation of our recommended practices.

Please read the full Dine Aware Disclaimer for more details.

  • What You Should Do

Please inform your server of any allergies or intolerances before placing your order. It is your responsibility to make an informed decision about where you choose to dine and how you order. Ultimately, your health and the health of any dependents are your responsibility.

  • What You Should Not Do

Even if an establishment implements Dine Aware training and solutions, this does not guarantee their ability to accommodate food allergies or other dietary restrictions or prevent cross-contact in any way.

If you have any doubts about an establishment's ability to meet your needs, we recommend choosing another dining option.
